COBYS
COBYS Foster Care

COBYS Family Life Education programs are provided to the community through partnerships with congregations, schools, parent groups, employers, and other community organizations in south central Pennsylvania. These partners:

  • Supply facilities and instructional equipment such as television/VCR/DVD, etc;
  • Promote the program and help recruit participants;
  • Appoint a group assistant to help COBYS staff with program and arrangements;
  • Offer light refreshments or a meal at each session;
  • Assist with registration; and
  • Provide financial support to cover a portion of program costs.

The cost for providing a program varies for partners. Some partners pay their required fee and offer the course for free. Others charge participants to attend. In some situations COBYS can use outside sources of funding to reduce the partner's cost or offer COBYS educators and curriculum at no cost to the partner. To learn more about hosting a course, contact us at education@cobys.org or 656-6580.

    The educator was open to any questions or comments from the group. We were never
    uncomfortable sharing in this setting because the educator was so open and thoughtful.
