
COBYS Leadership Training and Development programs assist professionals and lay persons who provide education and support for parents, youth, and children. The purpose of these programs is to promote emotionally healthy relationships through education, support, nurturing, and empowering. Programs include:
Leadership Training for Mentors & Volunteers
An 8-hour training for basic preparation to be a mentor to promote emotionally healthy families and individuals. The program equips participants with knowledge, skills, and resources to nurture, empower, and become a positive influence in the life of another.
- Develop attitudes, behaviors, and values to support and empower individuals.
- Discover core concepts of behavioral, emotional, and relational health.
- Learn practical skills and techniques for a successful mentoring experience.
Staff Development
One- to two-hour presentations or workshops that provide education and support for staff in organizations that work with children or families. Following are some of the topics that our leadership trainers may provide:

Where and How
Programs are provided at an employer's place of business, at community locations, or at COBYS Family Services sites. Costs vary based on location, partnership arrangements, and funding availability. COBYS trainers have backgrounds that include experience in daycare, leadership training, parent education, and special education (with a concentration in autism spectrum disorder).
